Building a Better IEP (Individualized Education Program): Thursday, May 3, 2012 11:00 a.m. ? 1:00 p.m. and Health Care and Your Child, Thursday, May 3, 2012, 1:30 p.m. ? 3:00 p.m. United Counseling Service, Community Conference Room, 100 Ledge Hill Dr., Bennington. Attend one or both workshops. Lunch will be provided! In the morning workshop, join other parents of children with special needs as we review and discusss qualifying for, and developing an IEP, tips for successful school meetings, and special education evaluations. In the afternoon workshop we?ll focus on families who have a child with special needs. Topics will include: Health Care Reform/Affordable Care Act in Vermont, Medical Home, Health/Medical Insurance, Green Mountain Care, Six Ways to Access Medicaid, and more. RSVP to attend.
