Recently the Christian Financial Alliance asked several bloggers the following question:
?Name one non-financial benefit of managing your money wisely.?
Here was my response:
?Peace. If you have no debt, have a solid emergency fund, and have saved/prepared for life?s various monetary challenges, you have a lot of peace in your life. You know you?re prepared if/when challenges arise. It?s a great, great feeling that most people can only dream about.?
It's true. If your finances are in order or (even better) if they are strong, it takes a lot of stress out of life. It cuts down on conflicts with others, allows you and your family a lot of flexibility, and gives you peace of mind that's priceless. It reminds me of Proverbs 10:22 (NIV) which says:
The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it.
