The government is discussing additional loans to drought-stricken regions
The Ministry of Agriculture intends to ask the government about extra loans for the most weakened regions affected by the poor weather conditions. The plan is to allocate three-year cost-free loans. Also, the authorities may provide additional subsidies of 6 billion rubles, or around $200 million, to avoid budget deficits in those regions.
Aeroflot joins World?s top ten air carriers
Russia?s flagship carrier Aeroflot has joined the World?s Top 10 most profitable airlines, according to Air Transport World magazine. The company?s net profit for last year doubled compared to the same period previous year reaching almost $500 million. Previously Aeroflot took the 23rd place in the list of most successful airlines.
